Instrumentation includes vocals, guitar, violin, as well as either lute, oud, mandolin, or bouzouki, Middle Eastern and African drums, percussion, and sometimes upright bass or harmonium.
Our repertoire includes folk and fusion arrangements of both traditional songs and contemporary music from various regions and styles such as the Balkans, Romani diaspora, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Mediterranean, and more.
Over the years, we have featured music from the Roma, Macedonia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Serbia, Greece, Turkey, Andalusia, Morocco, the Sephardim, Egypt, Lebanon, Iran, Ukraine, Russia, Romania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and India. We have also included other east meets west collaborations such as Celtic and rock music.
